Ühel kaunil päeval sain ma rahvusvaheliselt Adidase meeskonnalt kirja palvega anda intervjuu StellaSport blogi jaoks, siin see siis nüüd on! Ahjaa ma olen USAst tagasi ja luban kikkida äässi blogimisega, puhkusel ikka puhkasin, nii et väike paus tuli sisse inimlikul kombel :P
Minu kõrbe, Los Angelese, Las Vegase ja San Francisco seiklusi saab järele vaadata ka instagramist @helvetikacam, aga eks blogimine peaks ka sellel teemal ära tulema mingi hetk :)
Once upon a time I got a lovely letter from international Adidas team and was asked to give an interview. So here it is! Oh and I’m back from USA and ready to kick in some blog action again. Sorry for the delay, on vacay gotta vacay :P
You can catch up with my desert, LA, Vegas and SF action on my instagram @helvetikacam and of course I shall create a juicy blog post on that topic too :)
And here is the full un-edited interview too,
thank you so much Ayesha for the good questions!
Tell us about yourself!
I live in a cold northern city Tallinn and run a small creative studio called HMMM with my friend Karl – I love to design new brands, create jewellery, keep my eye on fashion and occasionaly lecture at the Estonian Academy of Arts. My pug is like my baby, he’s name is Konstantin or Kostja for short, he’s already 8,5 years old and we do everything together. Oh I almost forgot, I also run a lifestyle and design blog new kewl / uus tuus www.uustuus.ee everything I love goes in there. Style wise I wear Stellasport everywhere, in the pool, in the office with a party dress, because awesome design and comfy sporty feel is what I treasure in looks.
We love road trips – tell us about your polka dot ride! Where did you go?
This car had to go on a road-trip without me as I was asked to paint it for professional road-trippers. All the cars taking part in this trip are designed by different artists. Slowball roadtrip went thru half of Estonia, the Islands and the beaches and the cities. Later on my art piece car got sold on an auction.
Tell us how you stay inspired – how do you exercise your creativity?
I try to notice all the little things around me, keep my head high and low, see something, grab a picture of it. The older we get the less we concentrate on details, I don’t want to loose that ability. So whenever I want to say “huh whatever” I go “no let’s do this!”. Giving positive answers rather than negatives, takes me to awesome places.
Share three things you love most about your neighbourhood. Would you live anywhere else in the world?
I live in the Tallinn city center, minutes away from the shops, movies, old town, parks and the sea, and that’s what I love about small countries and their capitals, no hours spent on geting somewhere, when you get an idea you complete it immidiately. So that’s what I love about my home, it’s like Polly Pocket in real life. But for a long time I thought my natural habitat should be Tokio, I even studied the language, but after a month long trip in Japan I still missed home. And now after London, Moscow, Taipei, Helsinki, Lisboa, Barcelona and other lovely places I’ve travelled, I think Berlin has allured me the most – the creative crowd, the secret yards, the streetart. But we will see about that, as in September I’ll have my first trip to the United States! Woop.
Share your personal recipe for adventure – in travel, life, fashion …
If you don’t have much time or budget, which is often the case, go on adventure in the closest forest or sightseeing area. Take a train, take a boat, take a bike, take some sandwiches with you. A day away may feel like a week of vacay if you spend it right. Once your’e there, imagine your’e a monkey, climb on a tree, look fab and make your friend take a picture of you, fashion is there for us to enjoy not to be afraid of, so I guess it’s only right to get wild with it.
